Set in southern Spain in 1920s, Blancanieves is a moving, eerie, and fascinating black-and-white silent film that re-imagines the classic fairy tale Snow White. Pre-show comedic performance of Urbano’s Circus created and performed by Richard Grunn at 7pm.
Once upon a time there was a little girl who had never known her mother. She learned the art of her father, a famous bullfighter, but was hated by her evil stepmother. One day she ran away with a troupe of dwarves and became a legend. Written and directed by Pablo Berger, this is a critically-acclaimed homage to the black-and-white Golden Age of Europe’s silent cinema.
