Desiree Abeyta wrote, directed, and produced An Invitation To Tea, a recipient of this year’s inaugural Inwood Art Works Filmmaker Fund Award. Her work reflects a love of magical realism, and she’s one of very few filmmakers setting out to explore that rich literary tradition from a feminine perspective.
